As you follow this very complex tale you cannot help but feel the intrigue and tension build. I can hardly believe I made it through all 4 episodes. His lines seem forced and he appears to be angry all the time. but as long as shows like this continue to say that our identity is all that matters and all that can matter, nothing will actually change. It is so political correct, it makes a weak story by otherwise great actors/actress. The script for the second episode wast truly awful - the dialogue between Carey Mulligan and her sidekick could have been written by a sixth former.

I suppose I shouldn't have watched this straight after watching The Fall, but I doubt that would have made much difference to my appreciation of this short series. 18 out of 30 found this helpful. Comprising 12 stories set in four different countries, each takes place within the confines of a police interview suite. Just how inept is shown in episode 1, where the manager of a take out pizza joint goes out of her way to ensure one delivery person gets the last job of the day.and that person goes straight to a place where an assassin is waiting to kill him. The actors, for the most part, didn't really seem to know what was going on, and the main character, the detective seemed like a bit of an afterthought, as though her part had been bolted on to try and give coherence to a string on more or less connected political rants. 18 out of 30 found this helpful. It was extremely well done in every aspect, and though a slightly slower paced than many of my favourite shows and films, the production is superb and kept me spellbound. Collateral is a four-part British television drama serial, written and created by David Hare, and directed by S. J. Clarkson. Good actors and nice cinematography (that much seems to be reliable) but awful, awful writing. I really hope to see more of this series. I disagree with many of the low marks given to this series.
