How to find Omega Centauri

Because of the light pollution close to the horizon, my observing notes described Omega Centauri looking like "a cotton ball lying on a white sheet." it can be seen into the wee hours until July and August. While most Americans and many Canadians think of Canada as being "north of the 49th parallel," in fact southwestern Ontario extends below 42 north.
