Returned from a week's break at the Takkas and from what I had read before was a little nervous on what we were going to find. the takkas is the best place to stay in ayia napa, the hotel, pool bar and the same people that return there year after make it a super freindly base to stay for 2 weeks. We are a married couple and although I would possibly would not recommend it to families in peak times, would have no problem suggesting it to our friends. Although the appartments are a little dated, they are very big (we had a studio for 2 of us), the cooking facilities were good. The main reason for establishing the farm , was to protect these beautiful animals that are bound to extinct. Limassol Zoo hosts about three hundred types of animals and birds. Nightlife... great and fairly cheap just beware of the security guys as they have to much testostorone!!
