All else is irrelevant.So basically, this game is just as great as it was on the ps3/ xbox and when they add the online multiplayer in a patch later on; it is pretty much a must-have for racing-loving switch owners. So that's not such a big deal to me, but I do understand why it would piss off folks.But Switch doesn't have analogue triggers, would feel weird playing a game like this with no analogue triggersMake a physical release and maybe I'll buy. This game is many many years old and was even for free several times on PC. The only other thing I want to mention is that it would be fantastic if the performance mode could have adaptive resolution so that when you're in the pack and going around a corner it doesn't have to drop frames, only resolution. There’s even the option to download a free hi-res texture pack for the cars to make it look even better, but this wasn’t yet available at the time of writing.If you’re more of a frame rate fiend, there’s also Performance mode, which turns off some of the more processor-intensive effects and aims for 60fps instead.

Given that the last-gen version did have both online and split-screen racing, this is a let-down. GRID Autosport Complete is an awesome racing game. Needs to be available at launch too. This is an A+ port. With GRID Autosport, the gameplay is also quite simple when players will compete with all the remaining riders to become the fastest map. It has multiplayer.It's strange that this review didn't include the details that iOS port was released 2 years ago. Commendably, it manages to hit 60 the vast majority of the time, only dipping during more action-packed scenes. It looks great and the variety of modes is amazing.

Picture quality is often blurry to the point of distraction, as if the image has been taken from a third-generation VHS copy. Alonso is a perfect fit for GRID, which challenges you to master multiple racing categories in a wide variety of cars.

Shouldnt be more than 20 Euro at max.im curious whats different between the switch version and the iOS version to justify that price tag hike.I played Grid a bit before work this morning and I think I love it.

I'm disppointed that large game like this had no physical release, they eat too much of my microSD card space.Don't need online even when they eventually patch it in. Looks good for the Switch mind.I’m not a racing game fan so it’s no skin off my back, but the lack of a multiplayer mode of any kind is a question the developers have to answer for.Very excited for this - thanks for a sensible review.

So it came quite quickly after Grid 2 and many people that were still willing to play a 360/PS3 game simply weren't ready for another Grid game so soon after having played Grid 2 and being disappointed with it.Thankfully they did get it right even if it didn't sell in the numbers it deserved, and the company's fortunes have been on the rise ever since.

I just liked to drive the courses and unlock more and better cars by myself. I LOVE the quietness of electric cars, both in real life and in racing games like Gran Tourismo 5 and 6. Finally, if you’re playing on handheld mode and favour your battery life more than anything else there’s Energy Saver mode. I just want the single player experience. For all I know, the split-screen could drop to 15fps and the online could be laggy as hell: I'd hope not, but you never know until you're actually playing it. Change country. With this Switch port, GRID Autosport gets a second chance to make a first impression, and it’s a strong one.

Looks to be a bit more arcady than that game, so I’m happy to see that.They didn't want to put a game out on the XB1/PS4 without an engine to best take advantage of their added processing power, but didn't have the financial resources after a string of poor decisions like Dirt Showdown to create one (Although Dirt Rally later on fared nicely using their old last gen EGO 3.0 engine from Grid Autosport, which for an example of their dire financial straits at the time, had to have development be funded via Steam Early Access).It wasn't until 2015 that Codemasters entered the XB1/PS4 scene with F1 2015 and their in-house next gen iteration of their EGO engine. )This turned out much better than i personally expected, given how poor the quality of other racing sims on the Switch have beenOf course we get out first proper racer and people come complain the lack of multiplayer (which Feral This looks really good.
