William Finley Wildlife Refuge (members only) Brice Creek trail is a beautiful easy to moderate trail that follows the creek for a total of 5.5 miles. The waterfall was a great spot to have lunch. The further I went, the more I didn't want to go back the way I had come, so I just kept pushing forward.
Brice Creek Trail is a 13.0 kilometer moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Dorena, Oregon that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. Continue on the main paved road NF-22 through the towns of Culp Creek and Disston (these communities are so tiny you don't even realize you are driving through a town) a total of 21.7 miles from the freeway. The falls drop between 8 and 12 feet, depending on the level of the creek (in high water, the falls are taller, in low water, shorter). It is a beautiful area and I can’t wait to go back when the trail is in better shape. One big down tree I had to belly crawl under. It was stunning and just can’t imagine the work that went into this. Totally blown away by this hidden gem. However in the fall and winter Brice Creek Trail is rarely visited even on weekends and becomes a haven for those seeking a beautiful hike not too far from Eugene. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
The falls occur where a large boulder has wedged itself in between a narrow chasm in the bedroc… From Cottage Grove, travel on I-5 to exit 174 and follow signs east past Dorena Reservoir (either side) to junction of Layng Creek Road #17 and Brice Creek Road #2470 (19 miles). I won't go again unless trail improves, or at the very least I have someone with me to help troubleshoot the problem areas a bit!
The .3 mile (.5 km) trail from Cedar Campground is rated easy for hikers.

Lund Park was named after Alex Lundgren and Tom Parker who owned an inn which stood at that spot back in the 19th century when the Bohemia Mines were operational. Then the trail traverses back down to a very beautiful wooden bridge that crosses the creek over to Lund Park Campground. We only encountered two other groups on the trail.

I did try to pass many of the trees as others obviously had done before before but it got to be too much and a bit risky for my height and being out there alone.
