Hotel la Fonda de Taos is perfectly located on the Plaza in the historic center of Taos. and a really great welcome. They do close the doors at 11pm so if you want to go out for the evening make sure you have your phone to get back in. For over $600 for 3 nights I expect to not have to sleep in earplugs and have clean towels! All the staff we encountered in both the hotel and adjacent Starbucks were lovely. The staff was wonderful. Our room was small but cozy and clean as was the bathroom. Its placed right in the center of Taos, which conviniently places restaurents and such within walking distance. I found this hotel to be very clean quiet and friendly . I walked to shops, bars, restaurants and a terrific coffee house.

I go downstairs and ask and assume it’s because of COVID precautions and was told they only service rooms every 3 days during a stay. The bed was comfortable and linens were high quality. The mezzanine was a nice area to sit and take in the surroundings. Guests enjoy complimentary coffees and teas in the "Proudly Serving Starbucks" Noula's Coffee Shop.There are more places to choose from in the Taos area.My family has been visiting Taos for years but have never stayed at Hotel La Fonda.
